Our Holiday Candlelight Evening Returns for 2021!
You are cordially invited to step back in time for an enchanting candle-lit night of holiday merriment at Rahway’s own 226-year-old tavern and inn. The historic building will be ornamented with holly, pine garland, and the decorations of yesteryear. To add to the romance of the season, the entire building will aglow with candle light. There will even be a crackling fire in the kitchen fire place.
Music will be provided by Linda Russell, historical balladeer, who will provide traditional holiday compositions interwoven with Yuletide history and folklore. (More information about Linda Russell can be found at: lindarussellmusic.com.)
The tap room (circa 1795) will be open and beer, wine, and warm old-fashioned Swedish glogg will be available for guests 21 and over. We will also be serving light refreshments and Ann’s famous colonial hot punch in the historic kitchen. The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum invites you to commence your holiday season with this wonderful event for individuals of all ages.
The festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended but not required. Tickets are $20 for the general public, $15 for students and members of the museum, children under 12 are $5, and children under 5 are free. Tickets include two beer or wine drink tokens (drink tokens for 21 and over only), beverages, and refreshments.
Parking will be at Parkside Plaza, 1600 St. Georges Avenue in Rahway. The Museum is located at 1632 St. Georges Avenue in Rahway, N.J.
