**THIS EVENT IS COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!!**

This October, the Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum will once again host “The Spirits of Rahway: A Lantern Lit Tour of the Rahway Cemetery” on Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26. Tours begin after sundown at 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, and 9:30 PM. Guests on this moonlit tour will be escorted through the cemetery by lantern light by their “spirit guide”, who will share thirteen stories of ghostly encounters, tragic deaths, and unsolved murders.

The 300-year-old cemetery dates to 1724, and is the final resting place of many famous -and some infamous – characters. Since the early 1900s, stories of ghostly sightings and strange goings-on have been reported. Poltergeists, dark figures, and a woman in white walking between the tombstones have been reported in the cemetery. Each year the tour features new stories as well as returning classics.

Reservations are required. Tickets are $25 per person. After the walk, guests are invited back to the Museum for punch and light refreshments. Attendees are also welcome to take a self-guided tour of the 229-year-old building. It is recommended that guests bring their own lanterns or flashlights, and wear comfortable walking shoes. This event is not recommended for young children.
