The Merchants and Drovers welcomes you to join us for our annual Holiday Candlelight Evening!

We host Tavern Nights seasonally, indoor and outdoor, and offer the opportunity to step back in time and enjoy the ambiance of days gone by while you sip a tasty beverage and listen to live music.

The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum Association has announced the return of their much-anticipated annual Holiday Candlelight Evening on December 7 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Guests are invited to step back in time for an enchanting candle-lit night of holiday merriment. The historic tavern and inn will be ornamented with holly, pine garland, and the decorations of yesteryear. To add to the romance of the season, the entire building will glow with candlelight. There will even be a crackling fire in the kitchen’s hearth.

Live music will be provided by Linda Russell, historical balladeer, who will perform traditional holiday compositions interwoven with Yuletide history and folklore.The taproom will be open and beer, wine, and warm old-fashioned Swedish glögg will be
available for guests 21 and over. We will also be serving light refreshments and Ann’s famous (nonalcoholic) colonial hot punch in the historic kitchen.

The Merchants and Drovers Tavern Museum invites you to celebrate the holiday season with this wonderful event for individuals of all ages. The festivities begin at 7:00 p.m. Due to limited space, reservations are required.

Tickets are $25 for the general public, $20 for students and members of the museum, $5 for 12 and under, and free for children under 5 years old. Tickets include spirituous drink tokens (drink tokens for 21 and over only), beverages, and refreshments.

Parking will be at Parkside Plaza, 1600 St. Georges Avenue in Rahway. The Museum is located at 1632 St. Georges Avenue in Rahway, N.J.
